Children’s Librarian I
The Ephrata Public Library is now accepting applications for an innovative Children's Librarian to join our Public Program Team to work primarily with our patrons ages birth-elementary school years. This position is part time (32 hours/week) and requires some evenings and weekends, including regularly-scheduled circulation desk hours. A minimum of 1 year experience in a public library and/or educational institution is required along with a MLS from an ALA-accredited university. The Ephrata Public Library is seeking a part-time Reference Librarian to provide reference services, one on one computer tutoring opportunities and technology classes to the public, as well as staff the library's circulation desk. Requirements include an MLS from an ALA accredited university, exceptional research and computer skills, excellent customer service skills and all applicable federal and state child abuse clearances. Previous public library experience is preferred. Must be available to work 32 hours a week, which will include regularly scheduled evening and weekend shifts.
